FuryJSON
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-24
FuryJSON (āthe Appā) is published by FuryForm. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares.
Summary
- The App does not require an account and FuryForm does not operate a server that receives your JSON documents.
- JSON files and pasted content are processed locally on your device unless you choose to open content from a URL or share/export content to another app.
- The App uses Google AdMob to show ads to non-premium users and Google Play Billing to process purchases. These Google services may collect data as described in Googleās privacy policies.
Information the App accesses or collects
Files, pasted text, and shared content
When you open a JSON file, paste JSON text, or send text to the App from another app, FuryJSON reads that content so it can display, edit, validate, format, search, and export it. This content is processed on your device and is not sent to FuryForm.
On Android versions where it applies, the App may request or use read access to files you select. The App uses the Android system file picker and may keep read access to selected file URIs so recent files can be reopened.
Open from URL
If you use āOpen from URL,ā the App downloads the content from the URL you enter. This request is made from your device directly to the server hosting that URL. FuryForm does not receive the URL or downloaded content, but the server you contact may receive information such as your IP address and request details under that serverās own privacy practices.
Recent files and local preferences
The App stores a local recent-files list, such as file names and file or content URIs, to help you reopen files. The App also stores local settings and premium entitlement state on your device.
Ads and identifiers
The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display banner ads to non-premium users. Google and its advertising partners may collect device identifiers, Advertising ID, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, app activity, diagnostics, and other ad-related information to provide, measure, and personalize ads, depending on your device settings and applicable law. FuryForm does not directly collect these identifiers.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. The App does not receive your payment card details. Google handles purchase transactions and payment information. FuryJSON stores only the local purchase or entitlement state needed to unlock premium features.
Analytics and crash reporting
The App does not include a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Google services included for ads and billing may collect diagnostics or usage data as described in Googleās policies.
How information is used
FuryJSON uses information to:
- provide editor features such as opening, viewing, editing, validating, formatting, searching, sharing, and exporting JSON content;
- show ads to non-premium users;
- process and restore premium purchases;
- remember recent files and app preferences; and
- troubleshoot app behavior when errors occur locally on your device.
Sharing and third parties
FuryForm does not sell your personal information and does not upload your JSON documents to FuryForm servers.
The App shares or enables access to information only in these situations:
- You choose to share or export content using Androidās share sheet or another app.
- You choose āOpen from URL,ā which contacts the server for the URL you entered.
- Google services process data for ads and purchases.
- Disclosure is required by law.
Third-party services used by the App include:
- Google AdMob and Google Mobile Ads SDK: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Play and Google Payments: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Data retention and deletion
- Recent file entries, selected file URI access, settings, and premium entitlement state remain on your device until you clear app data, revoke file access through Android system settings where available, or uninstall the App.
- Temporary files prepared for sharing or exporting may be stored in the Appās cache and are removed by the operating system when cache data is cleared or when the App is uninstalled.
- FuryForm does not retain copies of your JSON documents on its servers because the App does not upload them to FuryForm.
Security
FuryForm takes reasonable steps to protect data handled by the App. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Keep backups of important files and use normal device security precautions.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13. FuryForm does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
Third-party services such as Google may process data in countries other than your own. Their handling of data is described in their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
FuryForm may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will be updated when the policy changes.
